December 2nd, 2021

Gift giving guide

Are you still searching for that ideal holiday gift for your little Knight? Lower School Librarian Sara Gomez makes shopping easier with fun and educational gift giving ideas. Check her list twice because you are sure to find something just right.

Subscription Boxes

You’ve most likely heard some buzz about the many subscription boxes out there.  It’s easy to see why they're so popular and there’s no shortage of options which are great for kids.  My favorites are KiwiCo and Little Passports, but you can find several other great suggestions here:  https://www.todaysparent.com/family/activities/cool-subscription-boxes-for-kids/

Cool Toys and Craft Kits

Kids love sensory toys. This type of play stimulates the body, mind, and imagination while often providing a calming effect. It also develops their sense of motivation and ability to focus while strengthening their coordination and problem-solving skills.  The Shashibo Shape Shifting Box and Cubidi Original Rainbowball are available on Amazon, and using their “You might also like…” suggestions makes it really easy to find other unique sensory toys.  Other things to consider are gem art crafts and 3d puzzles which allow kids to create and the array of National Geographic Kids kits which provide fantastic experiences from gem mining to fossil discovery.
