On Thursday, September 10th, Episcopal Alumnus Mr. Neal Walsh ’94 was featured as the guest of honor of the Country Club of Louisiana’s Book Club. The CCL Book Club hosted a luncheon and a book discussion in which Walsh read two chapters of his novel, My Sunshine Away, aloud and shared insight on his writing process and his journey as a writer since the novel’s publication earlier this year. My Sunshine Away, among many other accolades, is a New York Times Bestseller, An Amazon Featured Debut, and Entertainment Weekly’s “Must” for 2015. In the crowd was Episcopal English teacher Angie Edwards to whom Walsh attributes much of his love of writing along with the basis of his writing skill set. Also in attendance were Episcopal Alumni Alison Seamster Rodrigue ’94 and Penelope MeGee Sarnataro ’90 among many other friends of Episcopal. Lori Spring, who coordinated the event, is the mother of Andrea Spring ’88.
