Terry Davis, a guest speaker from the New Orleans Field Division of the US Department of Justice DEA, spoke to Upper School students on February 1. Agent Davis spoke about the evolution and dangers of what he calls the “prescription drug epidemic” in our nation and its impact right here in Baton Rouge. He presented a PowerPoint with facts and figures of prescription drugs sales, usage, and arrests. He expressed both official and personal views that caught the attention of our students, including situational components that students will likely face in their social lives.
A special thank you to Jodi Manton and Robin Talamo for their efforts in bringing Agent Davis to Episcopal.
