Gregory Edwards and Stanley Prutz, who both have long standing connections to Episcopal School community, were two honorees at the event. Greg, Foundation Director and honoree for more than 40 years of service to the Fair, commented, “Angie and I have a special place in our hearts for anything related to EHS, so it was nice to see two institutions that we care about so deeply join forces in such an interesting and positive way.” Angie Edwards, Newton Distinguished Faculty Member, has been an Upper School English teacher at Episcopal for more than 30 years. Stan, recognized for more than 30 years of leadership to the Fair, and his wife JoEllen are parents of an Episcopal alumna and are members of the Society for Exemplary Episcopal Knights.
Since its creation in 1986, the Fair Foundation has donated more than 3.5 million dollars to Baton Rouge area charitable nonprofits, service organizations and the Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge (BREC).
As we continue to put student development first and foremost in all we do, we at Episcopal are truly grateful for these endowed funds from the Baton Rouge State Fair Foundation; we look forward to the wonderful long term impacts these awards will provide our students.
