Upper School Student
I just finished leading a partnership program with Thrive students at Episcopal with the guidance of Mrs. Gagliano.
Twice a week for three weeks 15 Episcopal students and eight Middle school girls from Thrive collaborated as a team to explore theatrical improvisation skills, develop scene work with partners, share common experiences, and reflect on each others' strengths. Throughout this workshop, students were given the opportunity to work together to hone theatre techniques, take risks, develop public speaking skills, confidence, as well as new friendships.
This program could count for service hours, but most students had already completed them prior to the beginning of the program. It was so amazing how many Episcopal students were involved just because of their love of the performing arts!
