Episcopal School of Baton Rouge has transitioned to Distance Learning in response to and in support of the CDC's guidelines regarding COVID-19. We are also fully cooperating with Governor John Bel Edwards' proclamation in which he requests that institutions statewide refrain from hosting gatherings of more than 50 people. Distance Learning is the safest, most effective way to prevent a rapid spread of COVID-19 within the Episcopal community. Our highly trained faculty are committed to providing the same rigorous academic experience the community expects from Episcopal. As an organization dedicated to service, we are also committed to serving our community with a vigilance that reduces the spread of this illness within the Greater Baton Rouge region. We encourage you to take seriously the recommendations of our healthcare and elected officials as they make recommendations regarding the further spread of COVID-19. Recommendations regarding proper handwashing, social distancing and self-quarantine are key methods for all of us to make a difference in the global effort to contain this illness

The Episcopal Honor Code
At the heart of life at Episcopal is the Episcopal Code that is signed by all Administrators, Faculty, and students, and is included as a part of the school enrollment contract. Each signature represents a personal commitment to live by and to uphold this code. The code is crucial for the maintenance of a healthy and trusting community at the school. All three divisions support the understanding of and adherence to the code in age appropriate ways.
- I shall be honest in all matters regarding the life of the School. My word may always be trusted, and I will always strive to be fair.
- I will always respect others.
- I will not undermine our life together.
- I will not steal or deface that which belongs to another.
- I will ensure that my actions do not infringe upon the rights of others, particularly the right that others have to learn.
- I will do all I can to defend and uphold this Code and will always be ready to explain to others, especially those new to the School, that its existence is at the heart of the quality of our life together.
