On Monday, November 9th, the Writing Center received a visit from the Episcopal School of Acadiana. ESA Writing Center Director Reese Fuller brought seven student tutors, who collaborated with Episcopal writing fellows over coffee and cinnamon roll waffles (an EHS Writing Center specialty). Sophomores Morgan Bernard, Chima Mbagwu, Rachel Posner, and Sydney Veazie along with senior Emma Field participated in small group conversations during their free study tutoring shifts. During lunch, the rest of the writing fellows gathered with the group in the Student Center for a larger meeting. Students from each writing center gave presentations on their histories, current goals, and challenges. The writing fellows enjoyed meeting other high school writing center tutors and appreciated ESA for showing interest in our Writing Center. They hope to visit ESA next year to continue the exchange!
