Two Episcopal Students Rise to Compete in National AP Chemistry Exam

Best wishes on the upcoming National Exam!

​On Sunday, March 20, twenty AP Chemistry students from Episcopal competed in a regional chemistry exam at LSU for the American Chemical Society Chemistry Olympiad.  Approximately 50 students from schools from all over southeast Louisiana were present at the exam.  The ten students with the highest scores from the regional exams move on to the national exams, but each school is only allowed to send a maximum of two students.  We had seven students from Episcopal ranked in the top ten, but only the top two will move on to the national exam.  Please join me in congratulating Bailey Leopard and Jacob DeWitt for attaining the top spots for Episcopal.
 
The national exam takes place mid-April at LSU.  Those who qualify from this exam move to the international exam held in Tbilisi, Georgia (not the Georgia off I-10, but the one near Russia) this year.  Please congratulate these students for an outstanding performance.
