The video above of Episcopal’s campus is quite dramatic; it reflects the 2016 Baton Rouge Flood as it crested on Woodland Ridge. Remarkably, none of the buildings you see in this picture had one drop of flood water in them! Please refer to our flood resource page to see where we are today.
The Episcopal community --- students, parents, families, faculty, staff --- has “shown up” in remarkable numbers as volunteers, neighbors helping neighbors. A structured information gathering process is in place and is aiding the 1,000 Points of Light, grassroots response to needs known among Episcopal families whose homes were flooded. We are grateful to our resilient and talented Parent Guild and Squires leadership and students for working effectively with representatives of Episcopal’s Center for Service Learning and Coaches in an organically-organized and powerful response effort.
Two funds were established to receive donations from interested individuals and businesses wishing to respond to the 2016 Flood in our Episcopal School community. These tax-deductible donation allocations will be administered by a Flood Relief Committee of Volunteers with review by the Executive Committee of Episcopal’s Board of Trustees.
Please complete the following form below to make your online contribution, or you may download our Flood Relief Effort Donation Form to complete and return to us.
Beginning October 1, 10% of all Campus Bounce-Back funds will go to the school's general operating budget to ensure the fulfillment of the school’s program during the 2016-2017 school year. The KNIGHTS of Compassion Fund is now closed. If you have any questions, please email advancement@ehsbr.org and a member of our team will be in touch with you
