Strength and Conditioning
The goal of the Episcopal Strength and Conditioning Program is to provide a comprehensive, structured program to improve athletic performance and reduce the occurrence of athletic injury.
The program design focuses on:
· enhancing overall strength and endurance
· protecting bone health and muscle mass to reduce risk of injury
· developing better body mechanics
· improving flexibility, core stability, balance, and coordination
The program is not only dedicated to improving athletic performance, but also to developing team bonding, and individual leadership and discipline. Proper technique and safety is always emphasized to ensure maximum performance.

Strength and Conditioning Coach

Wally Stevens joined Episcopal in 2002. He currently serves as the Offensive Coordinator and the Inside Linebackers Coach. Prior to that he was the Defensive Coordinator for the Knights. A 1988 graduate of LSU, Wally has also coached basketball at Ascension Catholic High School in Donaldsonville and a number of sports at his alma mater, Woodlawn High School. Wally earned a bachelor's and MBA from Louisiana State University. He is the Strength and Conditioning Coach at Episcopal and the proud father of two daughters, Sydney and Sara, who are both Episcopal graduates.
