Summer Smash
May 18-20
Grades:  PreK3 - 8th 
Time: 11:15 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Cost: $50/day or all 3 days for $120
Instructor:  Tori Taylor
Come join us for loads of fun as we celebrate the beginning of summer on the early dismissal days.  We will discover Episcopal through water fun, games, scavenger hunts, and other arts and crafts.  It is the camp you should attend before you kick off summer break!  Middle School students will be given a study hall for exam preparation as well as an opportunity for some fun.

Come join Ms. Kahn for a week full of excitement! We will spend this week becoming inventors and entrepreneurs! Let's build something out of nothing and see just how creative we can get! We will create our own board games, design our own company, and become inspired by children who have created multi-million dollar items!

Musical Theater

It's time to have a blast on the stage! Campers have a blast with musical theatre and create a show for the end of the week! The workshop is designed to identify, strengthen and enhance each student’s performance skills and self-expression. Students receive movement, acting and improvisation skills, taught by Mrs. Gagliano, all while having a great time!

Under the Sea
June 1-4

Spend a week under the sea with Ms. Kahn.  We will be learning and exploring all about life in the water. We will make ocean slime, paper plate jellyfish, and so much more.

Build It
June 1-4
Grades: Rising 1st  – 5th

Camp Invention
June 7-11

Come experience Camp Invention! Campers will engage in four different modules each day with multiple hands-on STEM activities. They will discover sound waves in action through reverse engineering; develop and market their own extraordinary inventions; build and test a launching device to overcome challenges while exploring fun physics concepts like trajectory and velocity; experiment with circuits and energy to create a robotic, solar-powered cricket; design and prototype a nature-inspired morphing vehicle to submerge, soar or sprint in Super Road Rally!

Engineering Camp

Discover the engineer within you and learn a few tools that you will keep for life!. Come and learn about how the world around you works!!!  You will never look at the world the same way.  Understanding a little bit of engineering will open your eyes to a world that you are missing and it is all around you.     You will learn some basic principles that help engineers every day make the world a better place.  All hands on, all fun!   We will also make some delicious treats. Please note that activities are subject to change and are presented as examples only.  Mrs. Thompson, a former engineer has 11 years of experience teaching STEM camps to middle and high school students.
 
Physics Fun

Physics Fun Come adventure into the wild world of Physics! From investigating atoms to exploring galaxies, this camp will have you discovering the wonders of Physics! The Great Outdoors Foxfire Camp

Come immerse yourself in nature... explore our outdoor ecosystem here on Episcopal’s campus. Learn about the trees, plants, animals, and interactions all around us! We will also learn how to use things in nature to make useful products such as home-made soap, paper and edible products like cheese... not to mention learning all the science behind these cool crafts and reactions! We will ALSO learn some useful skills to have in the woods such as orienteering, knot-tying, and survival skills and appreciate the art in nature. There’s so much to do!

Sew Much Fun: Textile and Fiber Arts Camp
June 21-24 (Mon. – Thurs.)
Grades:  Rising 3rd-5th  
8:00 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.

In this four-day hands-on workshop, campers will learn to use fabric, yarn, dye, raw wool, and recycled materials to create an array of finished projects that are both fun and functional.  Techniques that will be explored include wet felting, needle felting, basic hand embroidery, crochet, batik, tie-dye, and screen printing. The price of the camp includes all materials needed to complete daily projects, as well as a personal sewing kit for campers to keep so they can continue creating at home!  Because of the hands-on nature of the projects, space is limited to 10 campers.

Based on the Harry Potter books, Ilvermorny Knight School is welcoming students to its 2020 summer sessions.  Courses of study include Herbology, Potions, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Care of Magical Creatures, Magizoology, and Transfiguration, magical courses known best in the Muggle world as STEAM.  In addition to coursework, our daily schedule includes Muggle quidditch, House Cup competitions, and Common Room fun.

Arts and Crafts Galore

Come join us for some Olympic fun!  In honor of the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, we will have our own summer Olympic games here in Baton Rouge!  We will enjoy some crazy games and competitions and have our own Olympic Champions. 

 Knight Writers

This camp will engage students in enthralling and creative writing workshops.  Each day will offer a different writing scenario brought to life in the classroom.  Students will become published authors by the end of this camp.

Cooking Skills

Campers will learn various cooking techniques for breads, meats, sauces, and vegetables.  Camp fee includes all food and materials.  Students with a strong interest in cooking should register for this camp.  Enrollment is limited to 10 students so please register early.

Step-Up Camp

Before you step-up into a new grade, come get a refresher on Singapore math, Reading, Writing, and Language Arts skills.  With current Episcopal teachers as facilitators, this camp is sure to help your child prepare for success in the school year to come! Space is limited so register soon. 

​The Mathematical Mind: Iteration and Chaos
July 19-23                                        
Grades: Rising 7th-10th
Time: 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Instructor:  Geoff Birky
This course is for mathematically talented and eager students. We'll explore how the mathematical process of iteration can be used to create dazzling computer images, compress detailed images into tiny files, and predict the outcomes of complex chaotic systems such as weather patterns and population changes. As we do this, you'll learn powerful ideas from advanced mathematics and new techniques for solving unusual mathematics problems. Stay for the full day and register for Fractals!

The Mathematical Mind:  Fractals
July 19-23                                        
Grades: Rising 7th-10th
Time: 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Instructor:  Geoff Birky
This course is for mathematically talented and eager students. We'll explore one of the newest developments in mathematics: geometric shapes with the unusual property that they contain infinitely many copies of themselves at smaller and smaller scales. You'll learn about fractals found in both natural and made-made phenomena, the mathematics behind them, and what fractional dimensions are. You'll also have the chance to create your own two- and three-dimensional fractals.  Stay for the full day and register for Iteration and Chaos!

STEAM Camp

For students entering 6th grade, this camp will be an introduction to life as a middle schooler!  Stay for the full day and register for Study Skills Basics.

Study Skills Basics
July 26- July 29 (Mon. – Thurs.)
​Grades: Rising 6th-8th 
Time:  12:00 p.m. – 3:.30 p.m.
Cost:    $175 or $300 when you combo with 6th Grade Step Up
Instructor:  Alicia Kelly
Students will participate in activities and games that enhance study habits and school success.  Students will explore their learning style, learn time management techniques, organizational skills, test taking tips and more.  Students will be able to begin school with useful iPad tools to help them manage their workload.  Stay for the full day and register for 6th grade Step Up Camp.
