The Episcopal Athletic Training Program strives to provide high-quality, evidence-based healthcare and wellness to our student-athlete population. Our Certified Athletic Trainer and team physicians collaborate to provide student athletes with the highest quality care in the following areas: treatment of physical, emotional and psychological medical needs; prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and emergency care.

The Episcopal Field House provides on-site resources to help athletes perform their best. The 23,000 square foot facility features cold and hot soaking tubs, ultrasound therapy, and electrical stimulation machines. 

Meet Our Certified Athletic Trainer

Dean Mannina, Athletic TrainerDean Mannina joined Episcopal School of Baton Rouge as the Athletic Trainer in 2005. In addition to his work at Episcopal, Dean was a Clinical Instructor for the Louisiana State University Athletic Training program from 2013 - 2017. He previously served for 13 years as a Clinical Instructor for the Southeastern Louisiana University Athletic Training program.  Prior to coming to Episcopal, Dean was an Assistant Athletic Trainer for Southeastern, primarily covering Men’s Basketball and assisting with Football.  He also spent two years as an Athletic Trainer and teacher at St. Charles Catholic High School.  Dean is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and Louisiana Athletic Trainers Association.  He is married to Janet Mannina, and they have two sons, Nicholas ‘22 and Ryan ‘25.
