As a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana, The mission of Episcopal School of Baton Rouge is to nurture and develop the whole child -- spiritually, intellectually, morally, physically and artistically -- through challenging academic and co-curricular programs that prepare our graduates for college and for purposeful lives.

Our whole-child philosophy means students are prepared to meet the challenge of rigorous academic standards, while also developing spiritually, gaining a deeper appreciation for the arts, and competing in inclusive sports. The strong sense of community that defines Episcopal is reflected in the cooperative effort of teachers, staff, students, parents, alumni, and friends working together to create an environment that supports this comprehensive development of students.

Middle School Students in Youth Legislature Class

For decades now the Greater Baton Rouge community has entrusted Episcopal School of Baton Rouge to educate and prepare their PreK-3 through twelfth-grade students. Our premier educational program begins with a solid foundation in Lower School with an emphasis on purposeful play and project-based learning. Middle School students benefit from social-emotional learning and age-appropriate leadership opportunities. Upper School students are provided unparalleled access to personalized college counseling to help them find the school that best meets their life goals.

At Episcopal, we help students foster lifelong connections and develop a deep love for learning. We provide each student the opportunity to engage, lead, and to discover his or her own path.
