Scott McAdams is leaving his options open when it comes to pursuing his dreams. He’s always been artistic and enjoys drawing. “I’ve always wanted to be an artist,” says Chris Selders. “I’ve always liked drawing.” Chris is still exploring his options regarding where he’ll study, but he’s certain of what he’ll study. As he’s tried different mediums over the years, he’s learned more about his likes and dislikes. After discovering he doesn’t enjoy the coding required for video game creation, he’s looking more toward film or computer animation.

Alana Simon and family

Alana Simon
University of Southern Mississippi
Major: Chemistry
Minor: Dance

After 15 years of dancing, Alana Simon will continue to study the art at Southern Miss next year. She enjoys the musical aspects of dance and coordinating her movements to the rhythms. In addition to dancing, Alana will compete on the Golden Eagles track & field team. She says being an athlete and a dancer complement each other well. “I’m a graceful high jumper because of ballet,” she says.
