The eFund is at the center of all giving initiatives and allows us to bridge the gap between tuition revenue and actual cost of running the school. Your gift to the eFund signifies a powerful vote of confidence in our school and community and makes it possible for us to fulfill our mission. It’s for everything we do. Who gives to the eFund?

We appreciate the broad participation of our community which includes the Board of Trustees, faculty and staff, current parents, alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents and friends.

How Much Should I Give?
Give an amount that makes you feel comfortable. We hope Episcopal sits high on your list of charitable organizations and encourage you to join at the level that is the right fit for you. Ultimately, we ask that you feel compelled to participate.
What Are Some Other Ways To Give?
We welcome gifts of stock, other securities, IRA distributions and DAFs at Episcopal. These are a great way to support the school and some methods are tax deductible or have other tax incentives. Learn more about each method here.

No, ONE gift counts for all your Episcopal students and we have some exciting incentives you automatically get enter to win!

Your gift to The eFund enters you to:

  • Win a Parking Spot! You are entered to win 1 of 4 VIP Carpool Parking spaces.
  • Win a party! The first class/homeroom to reach 100% participation wins a party. The first Lower, Middle and Upper School homerooms to reach 100% participation will win a special celebration.
  • Attn: Senior Parents! You could win two front row tickets to graduation!
  • Send a Teach to the Beach! When you give in honor of a teacher or coach, they are automatically entered to win a long weekend at the beach! *Be sure to mention the teacher(s) or coach(es) names when you make a gift to ensure they have a chance to win!*
I want to participate, but do small gifts really matter?

Yes! Every contribution makes a difference. More than 72% of the contributions made to The eFund last year were $500 or less. These gifts accounted for more than $112,000 of the total amount raised.

Where do eFund dollars go?

All gifts to The eFund support the operating budget for the current school year. Your contributions allow us to be nimble with the changing needs of the institution. Unprecedented events can bring unforeseen levels of disruption to our day-to-day operations. The eFund enables Episcopal to sustain excellence in teaching and student life no matter the circumstances. Examples of eFund dollars hard at work:

  • Exceptional faculty ensured through our faculty development programs
  • Smaller class sizes
  • Rigorous and inspiring academic courses
  • Maintenance of our unique and beautiful campus
  • Progressive college counseling program
  • Advanced technology that allows remote learning to be a real-time solution to the current COVID-19 pandemic

  • Safety and sanitation
Doesn't tuition cover the cost of these expenses?

The cost of an Episcopal education is considerable, but tuition alone does not cover the entire cost to educate an Episcopal student. Thus, every student actually receives a subsidy made possible by The eFund. For the 2023-2024 school year, the difference between tuition and cost to run the school is $1,157 per student. Episcopal’s source of operational funds include: 94% Tuitions and Fees, 3% The eFund, and 3% Other income.

When should I make my contribution?

Now! Even though our fiscal year ends on June 30th, an early pledge or contribution (even if you don’t pay until the end of the school year) benefits the school by limiting the cost and time of additional mailings and phone calls, creates enthusiasm, and allows more time to promote The eFund to those who are not as familiar with its impact.

*A leadership donor is an individual or family who gives at the Leadership level of $2,000 or above. Leadership donors are invited to a Thank You Reception in the following fall.

What is the 1965 Society?

The 1965 Society is named in honor of the year the school was founded, and recognizes consistent giving to The eFund each year. Donors who support The eFund – at any level – for two or more consecutive years will be recognized as members of this loyal giving society. If you supported the campaign in 2023-2024, all you have to do is make a gift to The eFund at any level for 2024-2025 to be included.
