Swimming

The Episcopal Swim Team encourages well-rounded development of all four competitive strokes, a servant-leader mentality, and academic achievement.  The coaching staff strives to encourage a healthy lifestyle and a love of competitive swimming, a lifetime sport. The team competes locally in the Capital City Swim League and in Division III at the LHSAA State Meet. Both the girls and boys teams have earned state championships.

Head Coach

In the fall of 2025, Stephen Anderson '02 resumed the role of the Head Coach of Boys & Girls Swimming after coaching at Central High School for five seasons and eight more seasons at Episcopal from 2011 to 2018. In his time coaching at Episcopal, girls swimming won three consecutive state championships from 2012 to 2014 (Division III and IV), their first three in program history, and finished as State Runner-up in 2011, 2015, and 2016 (Division III). In that time, the boys’ team earned one runner-up finish in 2013 (Division IV) and one state championship in 2014 (Division IV) as well as a Division III State Runner-up in 2017. Anderson earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Louisiana State University. In addition to coaching, Anderson serves as the Director of Security and Campus Services.
