Middle School Parent Newsletter | October 24, 2025

October 24th, 2025 by Anne Dalton

During Morning Meeting on Tuesday, we watched a short video together that really captured something special, the quiet power we each have to make the world a little kinder with our own two hands. I’d encourage you to take a few minutes to watch it, either on your own or with your child.

It’s a lovely reminder that small actions - like stopping a runaway grocery cart in the parking lot - can make a big difference. Sometimes the simplest gestures of care are what ripple out the farthest.

ATTENDANCE:

Please remember that all absences must be reported through PowerSchool.

Looking ahead into the semester, please also know that we will be emphasizing our attendance policy this year; students who miss more than four sessions of any one class will be required to make up the minutes.  This is to comply with Louisiana state law.  You may hear this policy referred to as “No More Than Four” and, while there are some exceptions for school-sanctioned absences and for unavoidable absences (hospitalizations, natural disasters, etc), both reported and unreported absences count towards this limit. For more information, please refer to the handbook.
