WHITNEY ALLISON-SIMS. EIGHTH GRADE SCIENCE TEACHER.

Whitney Allison-Sims is the eighth grade science teacher. Since 2020, Whitney taught Middle School science and STEM at Plaquemine High School and East Iberville Middle. In this role, she designed and implemented STEM-focused training and development programs for students, led robotics and engineering clubs and managed training programs for students and staff. Whitney was recognized as the Teacher of the Year in 2021-2022 and 2024-2025. She was also recognized as the 2024-2025 District Teacher of the Year. Prior to entering the classroom, Whitney gained professional experience as a Lab Technician at Shintech LLC. A Lab Technician for nine years, she conducted quality control testing, served as the LIMS Administrator and assisted in training and evaluating new lab technicians. Whitney earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Louisiana State University. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts and Science: Secondary Education from Liberty University.
