Middle School Parent Newsletter |November 7, 2025
November 7th, 2025
Drumroll, please… 🪨📄✂️
Our annual Rock–Paper–Scissors showdown was a blast! The 8th grade ruled Middle School, and Ayla Lee (8th) took the student crown. On the faculty/staff side, Ms. Stickle dominated - well played! Thanks to everyone who played and cheered.
Who’s coming for the title next year - 6th or 7th? ✊✋✌️

SHEPARD'S MARKET THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE:
Monday, November 17th - Friday, November 21st.
Please consider giving to the food drive! Middle School is asked to donate 500 bottles of seasoning (like salt & pepper, Tony's, etc.) & bring to homeroom teachers. However, any non-perishable items can be brought to Ms. St. George's office located in Penniman. Families are also invited to make a donation for turkeys through this link. This takes you to Episcopal’s PayPal account where you can specify the amount you would like to contribute.

ATTENDANCE:
Please remember that all absences must be reported through PowerSchool.
Looking ahead into the semester, please also know that we will be emphasizing our attendance policy this year; students who miss more than four sessions of any one class will be required to make up the minutes. This is to comply with Louisiana state law. You may hear this policy referred to as “No More Than Four” and, while there are some exceptions for school-sanctioned absences and for unavoidable absences (hospitalizations, natural disasters, etc), both reported and unreported absences count towards this limit. For more information, please refer to the handbook.
