Lower School Adventures Mark New School Year
August 24th, 2023
Superheroes, sweatshirts, butterflies and more! Lower School students launched into a new school year with plenty of adventures. Read more about how our little Knights are marking the start of a new season of learning.
Introducing the Class of 2031!
Episcopal fifth graders participated in an on-campus class retreat where they learned more about their roles as the leaders of Lower School. Later that day, families gathered in the chapel for the annual fifth grade sweatshirt ceremony, where students received a sweatshirt displaying their graduation year.
We’re Ready to Soar!
Early childhood Knights celebrated the first day of school with a quiet flutter during the annual Let Go Ceremony. Enthusiastic students and families released monarch butterflies on the early childhood playground to commemorate the milestone day. Afterward, families gathered for Tears & Cheers in the QUEST Center in Foster Hall while students settled into their new learning environment.
My Buddy
Members of the Class of 2024 recently met their kindergarten buddies for the first time. This treasured tradition unites graduating seniors with some of the youngest Knights for a year filled with fun. In the Spirit of Episcopal, the student buddies build community across divisions while making lasting memories together.
Super Second Grade
My superpower is: “To help people learn.” “To help others to write because I’m a good writer.” “To help people with math.” “Running fast to help someone!”
Second graders are super! As part of the beginning of the school year “All About Me” unit, students dressed as superheroes and told classmates and teachers about themselves. Each student shared a gift they have that will make the world a better place and a “superpower” they have that will change the world.
Welcome to the QUEST Center!
PreK-4 students loved their first visit to the QUEST Center in Foster Hall. The little Knights had the opportunity to explore the exciting play stations, and students can't wait to return.
