Upper School Parent Newsletter | 09-26-25

September 26th, 2025 by Dan Binder

Dear Upper School Families,

Quarter 1 ends on Friday, 10/3, and your student may be feeling some pressure about their grades.  This is normal and, to an extent, healthy and appropriate.  But it's also appropriate for us as adults to remind our students that there are people they can talk to, including their peers, teachers, administrators, and, yes, their families, who can and want to help them navigate that pressure.  And, on a related note, if any of you want help navigating the various challenges and struggles of upper school, please see the contact information at the bottom of this newsletter and don't hesitate to reach out.

Thanks,

Dan Binder

Episcopal is proud to stand with Woman’s Hospital in the fight against breast cancer. On Thursday, October 2nd, all students are invited to donate $1 to wear pink in support of Woman’s Hospital’s BUST Breast Cancer initiative. Let’s show our spirit, raise awareness, and build community. Together, we can make a difference!

There’s something for everyone in our Middle School production of High School Musical Jr!  From jocks and brainiacs to thespians and cheerleaders, this show has it all! Watch as the students of East High discover what happens when they break the status quo and come together through music, basketball, friendship, and fun.  Full of energy and heart, this show is perfect for the whole family, and many of our Upper Schoolers have helped with tech, stage crew, etc..  Performances are October 10-12, and tickets are on sale now - get yours here.  We'd love to see you at the show!
