Lower School Families,

We had a wonderful week in the Lower School! 

Enrollment for Episcopal summer camps opens today! For more information, please visit our website. 

I also want to remind you about the MLK Fest - Baton Rouge this weekend. You can find more information here. There is no school on Monday, in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Next Friday is a special dress day to kick off Knight Under the Stars. Students may dress in a "Tropical/Havana” theme. Students are invited to wear tropical shirts, tropical animal or flower-themed clothing, bright colors, Hawaiian shirts, Cuban hats, sunglasses, and so on.

We continue to lift 5th grader Talyn in prayer as a community each Tuesday. As a reminder, all Lower School students are invited to wear Team Talyn t-shirts in support of her brave battle against cancer. #teamtalyn

Important Information & Reminders

• Theme - Our theme this week was perseverance! 
• QUEST - In the QUEST Center this week, Early Childhood students continued creating items to add to our collaborative cardboard “dollhouse.” They also had the opportunity to visit the sensory bin and tinkering centers. 3rd graders heard from an expert about Louisiana Sugarcane as part of their study of Louisiana history and culture. 5th graders built and coded carnival games using the Lego Spike Essentials Kits.

• 3/5 Math Competition for 3rd - 5th Grade - Enrollment is now open for this very special event, hosted by Episcopal Mu Alpha Theta. Register here!

• 3/7 Knight Under the Stars is one of the special traditions that brings our Episcopal community together in a meaningful way. This year’s gala, Havana Knights, will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, and supports the programs, teachers, and experiences that help our youngest Knights grow academically, creatively, and spiritually. We encourage our Lower Division families to participate in whatever way feels right—attending the event or supporting a sponsorship. Your involvement strengthens our school community and directly supports the joyful learning experiences our children enjoy every day. • Campus School Store – The Campus School Store is open on Wednesdays from 7:30-8:30 AM and Thursdays from 2:00-3:00 PM. Payment types accepted: cash, credit cards, and checks. Items for sale: All sizes of white and navy crewneck sweatshirts and hoodies, navy sweatshirts, PE uniforms, everyday tee shirts, and other miscellaneous items. Please check in at the Alumni House before shopping. Come see us!
• Team Talyn - Donations for the family may be made through our School Store. Lower School students are invited to wear Team Talyn t-shirts, paired with uniform bottoms, on each Tuesday, designated as Team Talyn Tuesdays, and lift her in prayer as a community. On behalf of her family, thank you for your prayers and support.
