OUR MISSION AND MINISTRY
As a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana, the mission of Episcopal School of Baton Rouge is to nurture and develop the whole child - spiritually, intellectually, morally, physically and artistically - through challenging academic and co-curricular programs that prepare our graduates for college and for purposeful lives.

At Episcopal, financial sustainability means more than balancing a budget. It means stewarding resources with care so that we can continue to deliver a strong student experience—today and for generations to come. Episcopal’s strategic priorities include responsible debt management, long-term facility planning, strengthening fundraising efforts, and developing a thoughtful enrollment strategy that aligns with our mission.
Through endowment growth and community support, Episcopal is building long-term financial strength that helps sustain programs and expand access for students.
This video reflects the heart of financial sustainability at Episcopal: caring for today’s students while planning responsibly for the future. Through thoughtful stewardship, Episcopal continues to strengthen the programs, spaces, and relationships that shape each student’s experience.
Goal Three
Financial Sustainability
Episcopal School of Baton Rouge will ensure long-range financial sustainability and careful management of the school's resources.
Strategies
- Continuing to manage the school’s debt prudently and reducing long-term debt by at least 25%.
- Establishing a long-range plan for taking exceptional care of our best-in-class facilities.
- Evaluating and implementing fundraising strategies and uncovering new opportunities that promote long-term stability, independent of enrollment fluctuations.
- Creating a strategic enrollment management plan that adheres to our core values.
- Conducting market analysis and gathering additional Advancement data to establish data-driven goals and action items for the Development, Admissions, Marketing and Communications Departments.
This work ensures that Episcopal remains a strong, mission-driven school—able to invest in students, support families, and plan for the future with confidence.
