Wearing the Episcopal navy and gold symbolizes a student athlete’s commitment to excellence in athletics and academics. As Knights, we strive to do our best and support our team whether we’re in the classroom or on the court. Athletics provide more than exercise and competition. Sport, at its best, teaches the virtues of humanity: courage, grace, persistence, discipline, and greatness of spirit. As an independent Christian school, Episcopal supports education-based athletics as intrinsic to the spiritual and physical well-being of our students.
The Episcopal athletic program has a proven track record of thoughtfully designed and directed, age-appropriate athletic experiences that contribute to character development, confidence, discipline, respect of others, and favorable habits, which are the foundation for the rest of our students' lives.
Our athletic program strives toward vertical alignment within each individual sport. Varsity head coaches are involved in and oversee their respective sports at all levels of play—Middle School, freshman, junior varsity, and varsity teams.
Episcopal’s Upper School athletic program is a member of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) and subscribes to all its rules and regulations. Our Middle School teams play in various leagues and against several different schools in and around the greater Baton Rouge area.
We are Episcopal proud. We are the Episcopal Knights.
