Is your student the next Episcopal Webster Scholar?
The Webster Scholars program provides full tuition scholarships to two rising ninth-grade students. The program is designed for bright and motivated students who have distinguished themselves as academic and community leaders.
Webster Scholars Eligibility
The following guidelines establish initial consideration for the scholarship:
- Enrolled and in good standing as an eighth-grade student.
- The candidate should have a GPA of 3.9 or better in core courses (English/Language Arts, Math, History/Social Studies, Science, and Foreign Language, if applicable) for the sixth, seventh, and 1st quarter of 8th grade.
Application Process
- To be eligible for the Webster Scholarship, applicants must submit a complete admission application by November 1st of the 8th grade year. All applications submitted by this deadline will automatically be considered for the Webster Scholarship and/or other Episcopal scholarships as part of the application review process.
- The application is available here.
- A $125 application fee applies.
- Webster Scholarship finalists will participate in an in-person interview with school administrators.
- Scholarship recipients will be notified by January 2027.
Terms of the Webster Scholarship
The Webster Scholarship is renewable for all four years of Upper School at Episcopal as long as students meet the following:
- Remain in good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better.
- Enroll in a rigorous schedule each semester based on recommendations from your college counselor.
- Retain a clean disciplinary record (no Honor Code violations or persistent minor offenses).
- Families must complete re-enrollment annually by the established deadline.

Episcopal Webster Scholars are well prepared for their educational journey. These outstanding students become leaders in our school as Valedictorian, National Merit Scholars, researchers, athletes and artists. Webster Scholars have gone on to attend Princeton, Rhodes College, UNC-Chapel Hill, Emory and the University of Alabama.
