Description

Approved on-campus tutoring is a freelance (1099) position working with Episcopal students before and after school and during approved designated times during the school day, based on student demand, match, and tutor availability. On-campus tutors support student academic success in various subject areas and provide executive function support. Tutor pay rates are listed below.

Description of School
Episcopal School of Baton Rouge, a college preparatory educational community of approximately 950 students and approximately 170 professionals, includes grades PreK-3 through 12 that embraces the whole-child educational philosophy. Requirements

General Duties

• Work with Episcopal students based on student demand and match in the Lower, Middle, and/orUpper School on campus between 7 am and 5 pm, based on tutor availability.
• Support student academic success within specific subject areas and/or provide executive function support for students.

Personal and Professional Characteristics and Experiences

• Must have a bachelor’s degree or be currently enrolled in a college or university and working towards a bachelor’s degree within an academic area of need.
• Prior tutoring and/or teaching experience is preferred.
• A team player, willing to work with others within Learning Support Services.
• An ability to communicate clearly and with appropriate empathy to students, parents, and colleagues
• Reliable, able to maintain a consistent schedule, and arrive on time.
• Appreciation for and understanding of school-aged children.
• Embraces the school’s mission and ministry.
