TOMMY RHEA. MIDDLE SCHOOL SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER. MASTER'S: LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY Well-known in the Episcopal community, Tommy Rhea teaches eighth grade social studies. Tommy initially began teaching and coaching in 1975, spending 20 years teaching science, math, social studies, and physical education and coaching football, basketball, soccer, and softball in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System. Tommy joined Episcopal School of Baton Rouge in 1994 and coached and taught for 27 years before taking on a role at St. Luke’s Episcopal School, where he taught social studies, Nature by Design and Preparation for High School. Tommy attended Louisiana Tech for two years, then transferred to Louisiana State University, where he continued his formal education for the next 12 years. Tommy earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and special education in 1974 and a master’s degree in supervision and administration of schools in 1978. |
