JESSICA O'NEAL '11. LIFE SCIENCE TEACHER. MASTER'S IN BIOLOGY AND EDUCATION: UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH ALABAMA Jessica O’Neal moves from teaching life science to teaching eighth and ninth grade physical science. A 2011 Episcopal graduate, Jessica initially returned to her alma mater as an Upper School science teacher after serving as a Middle School science teacher in Alabama. She earned a Bachelor of Science in biology at Louisiana Tech University. In addition, she earned dual master’s degrees in biology and education from the University of South Alabama. Jessica is involved in a range of professional development experiences. She attended Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama, alongside other educators, to learn more about space exploration and NASA history and received a scholarship to attend the AGI Teacher Leadership Academy at ExxonMobil in Houston. She has also attended a Discovery Education Conference and a National Science Teachers Association conference. Jessica is a member of the National Science Teachers Association and the Louisiana Science Teachers Association. In 2026, Jessica introduced the first Episcopal science exploration trip for students in the Florida Keys. |
