SERVICE DRIVE:
The Upper School Service Learning Class is excited to announce our drive for used towels and blankets for the Companion Animal Alliance shelter on October 5, 2026, the first Monday of October. This day is also the Blessing of the Pets service. Our drive is centered on the benefits of towels and blankets, not only for the animals but also for the shelter, helping take some stress off. This particular shelter is an open-intake shelter, which means it must take every animal brought to them. They serve over 450,000 people in the Baton Rouge area and are overflowing with animals by the thousand. Below are the steps to follow to help our drive:
Collect used towels/blankets around your house(anything you can bring helps!)
Bring to school during the morning of the 5th or during the blessing of the pets to be collected at the lawn
Get excited knowing you are helping a much-needed cause ❤️

CARPOOL REMINDERS:
A quick reminder for afternoon carpool pickup:
Please help us keep the carpool line safe and moving smoothly. Drivers should keep pets off their laps, put cell phones away, and minimize distractions, including drinks and other items in hand.
Students should always enter the vehicle from the passenger side. This keeps them away from moving traffic and helps us load cars safely and efficiently.
Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe during pickup!

BUST BREAST CANCER:
On Wednesday, October 7th, students are invited to donate $1 and wear PINK free dress in support of Woman’s Hospital’s BUST Breast Cancer initiative. Students should bring their $1 donation to their advisory teacher, who will collect and record donations that morning. We hope our Middle School students will join us in wearing pink and helping BUST breast cancer! Please refer to the Student Handbook for free dress guidelines.
