Upper School Parent Newsletter | 02-27-26
February 27th, 2026
Dear Upper School Families,
The countdown has begun for Knight Under the Stars: Havana Knight! This 6th annual event is shaping up to be our most vibrant yet. The goal of this community-wide gala is to unite parents, alumni, and stakeholders to benefit our faculty and students through the Parents' Guild Wish List. Last year, KUTS raised $77,000, allowing the Parents' Guild to fund vital Wish List requests across campus. We are incredibly grateful for your continued support.
This year’s Havana-inspired evening features: a curated Silent Auction, catering by Margo Bouanchaud, live music by Pants Party, dancing and much more!
When: Saturday, March 7 at 7:00 PM
Where: Episcopal Phillips Gym (Note: Location moved due to our recent basketball success!)
Attire: Tropical Havana Chic
Age: 21+ only
Thank you, parents, for being so diligent about entering your students' planned absences, late arrivals, and early check-outs into PowerSchool. This is immensely helpful to our team as we work to ensure that your students are well-cared for and known by their teachers and the administration.
A few reminders to help us streamline the process:
- Please continue to enter as much detail as possible regarding the specific timing of scheduled check-outs for appointments.
- Please specify whether your student will be driving themselves or if they will be picked up at the Alumni House.
Clear communication in PowerSchool ensures we can support your student’s schedule without disrupting their instructional time.
College Fair: Sunday, March 15th
College Counseling team is hosting the 2026 College Fair & Case Studies Program on Sunday, March 15th. This is an excellent opportunity for sophomores and juniors to engage with college representatives from across the country. Juniors and their parents will attend the Case Studies portion of the day, beginning at 1:30pm, while sophomores, juniors, and parents of both classes are to attend the College Fair portion from 3:45-5:00pm. Event details have been emailed to both students and parents. Please register here.
CONTACTS:
Feel free to reach out to any of us in the Upper School office — we are here to help and support you. If we're not the right contact, we’ll connect you with someone who can assist you best.
