Congratulations to Class of 2027 National Merit Semifinalists and Commended Scholars!
September 9th, 2026
Episcopal is pleased to recognize seven National Merit Semifinalists and two Commended Scholars from the Class of 2027. The nine students represent approximately 12% of the school’s senior class.

According to the National Merit Scholarship Program, nearly two million students compete each year, with approximately 16,000 advancing to the semifinal round. Semifinalists are top scorers on the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test(PSAT) in their state.
National Merit finalists will be announced in February, with winners named in the spring. The selection committee reviews student grades, activities and leadership, as well as school information, to determine the winners. Scholarships are then awarded by the National Merit Scholarship Program, corporations, colleges and universities.
