Episcopal Thespians Perform on the Main Stage at International Thespian Festival
August 15th, 2024

“The kids and I were emotional at several points throughout the week, as the scale of this experience and the work to get there was so great.” Lily McGill, Episcopal Theatre Teacher/Production Director
This summer, 23 Episcopal students took the road trip of a lifetime to perform on the Main Stage at the International Thespian Festival at Indiana University. Episcopal’s Troupe 88800 performed “Indecent” for more than 4,000 theater fans from across the country. The students were one of only nine groups selected to perform on the Main Stage, considered the top honor at the festival.
Before the student actors headed north, much work had already gone into getting “Indecent” just right. The troupe developed three iterations of the show over an eight to nine-month period. They did this while keeping up with academic assignments and extracurricular activities. Ultimately, the effort paid off, and the students represented Episcopal well. Join us in congratulating these students!
