Fall Sports Spotlight!
October 19th, 2022

Check out our Fall Sports Spotlight and make plans to cheer on your Knights in person this season!
(A big thank you to Squires for team photos!)

Cross Country
The Knights are competing hard this season. The girls and boys were both recently the 5K Blue Division Champs at the Mississippi College Meet. That success comes after great showings at other recent events. The girls finished second and the boys finished in the top 10 at the St. Joseph’s Invitational, and the girls finished second overall at the Round Table Run with Lucy and Molly Cramer coming in first and second. The boys finished fourth out of 35 teams at the Round Table Run with Sacha Dernoncourt coming in second overall. Earlier in the season, the girls broke the course record at the West Feliciana Relays and the boys came in second. Our girls team is currently ranked as the #1 small school in the state, with the boys right behind in the #3 slot!

Football
The football team has much to celebrate this Homecoming week with big victories over Capital and Ascension Catholic earlier in the season. In addition, individual players are earning special recognition for their performances. Braeden George was the Week 5 WAFB Sportsline Player of the Week, Reid Chauvin was the Louisiana High School Athlete of the Week for the week of September 19th and Lewis Ward was named Tiger Rag’s Shining Star of the Week the week of September 19th. Football Senior Knight is in two weeks versus the Baker Buffalos on November 4th!

Swimming
While it may have been Episcopal’s fall break, the swim team was in action. The girls finished in third place, and the boys took fourth. Prior to that, the girls finished first at the Capitol City Swim Meet with numerous top 8 finishes. The City Championships take place one week from today at Crawfish Aquatics!

Volleyball
It’s been an exciting season for the volleyball team. Senior Knight was one to remember with the Knights sweeping St. Michael’s in three sets. Congratulations to seniors Mason Bruns, Bella Foster, Libbie Kelly, Lauren Patterson and Millie Veillion. Look for senior Mason Bruns in the November 19th LHSCA 2022 All-Star Game. Congratulations on your selection! Volleyball playoffs start in 1 week!
Giving Back:
The Knights are making a difference as a UKNIGHTED group of athletes. Students have volunteered in support of several organizations already this year.

The girls soccer team kicked off the season with a service project for Totes de Joie. The bags created will be delivered to cancer patients at area hospitals.
The volleyball team participated in a Miracle League game.

Cross Country team members volunteered at the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.

Class of 2025 class officers designed a shirt to honor the legacy of Coach Jimmy Williams ’97.
The Episcopal School of Baton Rouge 2025-2026 application is now available! For more information on the application process, to schedule a tour, or learn more about the private school, contact us at [email protected] or 225-755-2685.
