Middle School Students/Baton Rouge Rotary Club Members Dedicate the Episcopal Peace Pole
March 12th, 2025

Members of the Baton Rouge Rotary Club joined Episcopal Middle School students and school administrators for the blessing of the Episcopal Peace Pole in the school’s Memorial Garden. Father Patrick Edwards blessed the pole, which was donated by the Rotary Club and is the first Peace Pole in the Baton Rouge Rotary Club’s history. “May Peace Prevail on Earth” is inscribed on the pole in English, French, Spanish and American Sign Language.
The Peace Pole was initially unveiled during the all-school Peace Day celebration last fall. Since then, it has been permanently placed outside the Chapel facing the school’s Chapelwood Drive entrance.

Middle School students helped mark the blessing of the pole by singing a hymn and leading the proceedings. Thanks to the support of the Rotary Club, the Peace Pole will stand as a reminder to Middle School students and the entire Episcopal community to strive for peace in their daily lives.
Please join us in thanking the Rotary Club for their support. Share a message with them in the comments section below.
