Lower School Parent Newsletter | August 26
August 26th, 2026
Our Lower School 5th grade leaders enjoyed a wonderful day on Friday as they participated in their retreat and celebrated the Sweatshirt Ceremony. We are so proud of the example these students set for our community.
Today our entire school community gathered for an All-School Worship Service to officially kick off the 2026-2027 school year. It was a special time to come together in faith, celebrate the start of a new year, and reflect on the values that unite us as a community. We look forward to a year filled with learning, growth, service, and meaningful connections.
We have also been collecting donations for the School Supply Drive and are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our families. Thank you for helping us support students and schools in need through your thoughtful contributions.
Reminders:
If you arrive before morning carpool begins at 7:25 a.m. and need to walk your PK student to Greer, please pull into a parking space at A, B, or C and walk your child into the building. Thank you for helping us keep morning arrival safe and smooth for everyone!
Girls on the Run registration closes on Friday, August 28 for girls in 3rd-5th grades. Practices will begin on Wednesday, September 9. To learn more, click here.
The Episcopal School Store is fully stocked with Episcopal gear, everyday t-shirts and gifts. Store hours are: Wednesdays: 7:30–8:30 AM and Thursdays: 2:00–3:45 PM.
Looking Ahead:
The Episcopal Gold Steppers will be selling ribbons at lower school carpool circle on football game days beginning Thursday, September 3rd! Ribbons will be $1 each. We will do our best to keep change on hand, but please bring the exact change whenever possible. We can’t wait to see our Episcopal community showing their spirit! Go Knights!
Again this year, the Episcopal School of Baton Rouge has registered our community for the ISACS Parent Series. Parents may choose to participate live or watch the recordings, but they must sign up individually in advance. Once registered, parents will receive a Zoom link to the live webinar and a follow-up link to the recording. The first series is scheduled for September 29, 2026. Click here for more information and to register in advance.
Karnival Knight is scheduled for Friday, October 2. This event is attended by students currently enrolled in our lower and middle school grades and features amusements, games, food, and fun! Click here to see the several sponsorship opportunities available if you are interested in supporting this event.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
Go Knights!
