Lower School Parent Newsletter | October 21
October 21st, 2026
October 21, 2026
This beautiful week has flown by. Faculty will be in Department Retreats on Friday, working on vertical alignment and growing our communities. There will be no classes for students, as our faculty will spend dedicated time collaborating, reflecting, and planning to ensure a strong and connected learning experience for every child. We are grateful for the opportunity to invest in this important work and appreciate your support.
Click here to see what students learned on Toolbox Tuesday and QUEST this week!
Just a reminder, we are still collecting books for our book drive. You can drop off gently used books at morning carpool tomorrow.
We hope you will join us for our LS Parent Coffee on Wednesday, October 28, at 8:15 AM in the QUEST Center, or immediately following Chapel. This month’s topic is Rude, Mean, or Bullying?
Lower School Volleyball Night is next Thursday, October 29. The JV begins at 5 PM, with the Varsity game after. Join us for games, giveaways, and good times!
The annual Halloween Parade is on Friday, October 30, at 8:15 AM in the Carpool Circle. Costumes should be school-appropriate and not gruesome. We ask that students refrain from face makeup or props. If tennis shoes are not worn with the costume, make sure your child brings a pair for recess and PE.
Boots. Buckles. BBQ….and Knights! Dust off your boots and grab your cowboy hat because the first annual Smokey Knights BBQ Tailgate Cook-Off is coming to Lot 18 on November 6th! Join us for an unforgettable evening of mouthwatering BBQ, live country music, Senior Knight festivities, and plenty of Western fun. Support the event by becoming a Team Sponsor, Event Sponsor, or purchasing your Pitmaster Voting Tickets and help crown the Smokey Knights BBQ Champion! Best of all, the food is free, so come hungry and ready to cast your vote for your favorite pitmaster. We can't wait to see y'all there!
Family, friends, and neighbors of Episcopal are encouraged to join our Veterans Day Car Parade on November 11, 2026 at 9:30 AM. Please click here for all the details and to register.
We hope you have a wonderful long weekend and enjoy some extra time with your families! Thank you for your continued support of our Lower School community. We look forward to another great week together!
Go Knights!
