Mu Alpha Theta Tournament Results
September 26th, 2022

On Saturday, September 24, Episcopal’s Mu Alpha Theta Club and Math Team traveled to St. Paul’s High School in Covington to compete in their annual Mu Alpha Theta Tournament. The tournament featured 421 students from southern Louisiana, and Episcopal competed in Division 1 against Baton Rouge High School, Catholic High School, Jesuit, Ben Franklin, Haynes, and St. Paul’s.
Overall, the school placed 2nd in the Division 1 Sweepstakes!

In the Individual Competition:
Pre-Algebra
3rd Place – Eli Gray Bennett
2nd Place – David Gboloo
1st Place – James Gawronski
Geometry
Honorable Mentions – Autumn Baldridge, Meg Kantrow, Riana Yano, Miniya Malone, and Julia Brinker
3rd Place – Nate McLean
Advanced Math
2nd Place – Hayden Singh
Trigonometry

2nd Place Team – Kathy Hu, Sophia Horridge, and Thomas O’Connor
In the Interschool Competition:
Students in the Geometry, Algebra I, and Pre-Algebra areas won FIRST PLACE in the Lower Interschool Competition.
